Bill Astley

From an early career crafting hand built acoustic guitars Bill left the demands of the workshop to start a professional career in sales selling systems to help improve efficiency. He is passionate about giving management and supervisory personnel the tools and technology to allow them to monitor ‘real time data’ to help increase productivity, reduce downtime and thereby improve profitability.

Having worked for production and process monitoring company Mattec and technical innovators Kaba Benzing, Bill joined IEA Ltd which became GX Environmental in 2007. He is responsible for introducing clients worldwide to the many benefits that GX Environmental’s’ bespoke software TidoN can deliver. This bespoke software developed by GX Environmental can provide real time monitoring of tankered waste to tracking vehicle movements and monitoring the viscosity of the waste water sludge carried. Bill has been instrumental in introducing GX Environments’ Clean Water Tanker Filling Solutions to clients in the Middle East and Canada where management of clean water is imperative. 

When not helping companies to monitor and manage their water Bill can be found indulging in his other passion of pike fishing, a hobby he took up in his late 40s when his body rebelled against the constant battering it took on the squash court, in the gym and practicing Taekwondo.
